The Sunrise Theatre in Historic Downtown Fort Pierce kicked off the 10th star-studded season with its annual reception in the Black Box Theatre prior to the Boz Scaggs concert. The Farm Dog Rescue ‘Black Tie & Tails’
The Farm Dog Rescue held its inaugural “Black Tie & Tails” charity fundraising event at Ristorante Claretta in Palm City, raising more than $30,000. The “Coming Home” themed event celebrated the love stories of all the animals adopted in the organization's first year.
Samaritan Center’s ‘The Great Chef Adventure’
Samaritan Center for Young Boys & Families hosted a three-course luncheon prepared by area chefs for “The Great Chef Adventure” event. Guests helped to raise funds for the Samaritan Center, which works to keep families together and boys out of the juvenile court system, and bid on items during a silent and live auction.
Young Professionals of Martin County Futures Luncheon
Young Professionals of Martin County hosted its Futures Luncheon sponsored by Team Parks at the Wolf Center at Indian River State College. The event engaged community leaders and members in a conversation about the future of Martin County and how to best contribute to its success.

Prestigious businessmen and esteemed professionals donated their time and talent to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Martin County’s 2015 Women Build program. The entertaining evening took place at Mariner Sands Country Club. Items and packages for bid ranged in value from $500 to $5,000. More than 250 ladies, and a few gentlemen, joined the Hibiscus Children’s Center for an exciting afternoon affair held at Sailfish Point Country Club. Festivities began with a Champagne cocktail reception while guests bid on auction items, followed by lunch and a fashion show. Mariner Sands ‘One Enchanted Evening’
Mariner Sands Charity Week kicked off with the “One Enchanted Evening” concert in the Mariner Sands Chapel, featuring headliners Terry Barber and Lorrianna Colozzo, supported by students from “Artists For A Cause.” This tradition brings neighbors together for a week-long extravaganza of events, and proceeds directly benefit Martin County charities.

Treasure Coast Hospice Foundation’s ‘Midnight Masquerade’
Nearly 300 guests enjoyed a night of dinner, dancing and intrigue at the Midnight Masquerade at Mariner Sands Country Club. The event raised $90,000 for Treasure Health’s specialized pediatric care program, Little Treasures, which focuses on the unique needs of children facing serious illness.
Boys & Girls Club of Martin County’s Distinguished Speaker’s Luncheon
Howard Schultz, founder and executive chair of Starbucks, was guest speaker at the sixth annual Distinguished Speaker’s Luncheon series to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County. A sold-out crowd of 230 at Sailfish Point Country Club heard Schultz talk about the positive impact his boyhood membership to the Brownsville (Brooklyn, New York) Boys Club made on his life.
HUTCHINSON SH ORES RESORT & SPA GRAND OPENING
Guests gathered at the new Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa on Jensen Beach for a grand-opening celebration. The resort also launched a grand-opening package for visitors to experience what the beachside retreat has to offer.
Dancing with the Martin Stars
Local celebrities put their best feet forward at the Lyric Theatre to benefit Martin County Healthy Start Coalition. More than $143,000 was raised this year to help ensure that babies born in Martin County are healthy. Brian Moriarty was the overall winner (achieving the best combined dance score and fundraising nearly $30,000 in donations).

Mary’s Shelter of the Treasure Coast dazzled guests at its Second Annual Sailfish Banquet. The crowd of 130 guests filled the Sailfish Point Country Club for an evening of fine dining, a live auction and live musical entertainment. Nearly $85,000 was raised.Read more about Mary’s shelter dinner
