United Way of Martin County Reception

Members of the Tocqueville Society were honored during a reception at Sailfish Point Country Club. The Tocqueville Society, in its 27th year, includes 80 philanthropists who last year alone contributed more than $1 million to United Way of Martin County’s 2015 to 2016 campaign.

Treasure Coast Hospice Foundation’s Sporting Clay Tournament

The Treasure Coast Hospice Foundation hosted its inaugural Sporting Clay Tournament at the South Florida Shooting Club, raising more than $33,000 to support patient care programs. Shooters of all levels experienced an exciting day of sporting competition on the 15-station course and participated in live and silent auctions and raffles.

Catch The Wave Of Hope Luncheon

Supporters attended the Catch the Wave of Hope Luncheon at Kyle G's Prime & Seafood, which featured two guest speakers who spoke about their experiences with human trafficking. The luncheon raised nearly $16,000 that will help build a home for trafficked girls in Martin County.

Arts council of martin county’s ‘alumni retrospective’

The Court House Cultural Center hosted the exhibition, which featured artwork from more than 30 artists, all of whom had works previously exhibiting when they were a part of the high school juried art show—a legacy event of the Council that was developed to nurture and support young artists finding their creative muse. The artists span the ages from 1987 through recent 2016 graduates.

This year's annual bash set a new record, raising $210,300 for maternity and pediatric care, including the Mother & Baby Home Care Program. Hosted by the Cleveland Clinic Martin Health LifeSavers, more than 750 people turned out for the sold-out event at the Jensen Beach Causeway Park.

Manatee Observation And Education Center

Supporters came out to the Pelican Yacht Club to kick off the Center's 20th anniversary. Guests enjoyed an up-close encounter with resident sea stars and urchins from the touch tank used in outreach programs for the community and schools; a pictorial exhibit; and a nautically inspired vignette from the Vanishing Mermaid Gift Shop. The fundraising gala, "Manatee Magic 2016," will be held at MOEC on Nov. 5.

Samaritan Center Benefit Concert

Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., the popular winner of the sixth season of “America's Got Talent,” set the tone for “An Evening of Sinatra and Motown.” Proceeds from the Lyric Theatre performance benefited the Samaritan Center for Young Boys & Families, celebrating its 50th year in Stuart. Prior to the performance, Murphy mingled with Samaritan Center supporters at a Champagne reception at the Geoffrey Smith Gallery.

Sea Of Hope Celebration

Palm City residents Fred and Deana Peterson were celebrated for their devotion to foster children at the second annual Sea of Hope luncheon held at the Willoughby Golf Club in Stuart. They received the inaugural “Hero of Hope” award from Place of Hope Treasure Coast in front of a crowd of 200 guests. 

Celebrities fore kids fundraiser

The Moulin Rouge-themed event was held at The Club at Admirals Cove. Cocktails and a silent auction started off the evening followed with dinner, entertainment and a live auction. Funds raised went toward the Patient Assistance Program, which provides financial support for children and their families during a medical crisis.

Treasure Coast Hospice Tea Party

The Founding Friends of Treasure Coast Hospice held an Afternoon Tea Party at the Harbor Ridge Yacht & Country Club. The event featured an elegant tea, a 50/50 raffle and a fashion show. Proceeds benefited Treasure Coast Hospice Counseling Services Youth and Family Program.

'Earth to Table, the Art of Functional Ceramics' was held in the Court House Cultural Center. Pottery works such as pitchers, pots, vases, platters, cups and other objects considered “functional-ware” were featured. Not just for viewing, patrons were also able to purchase the ceramics.
