‘All Hands on Deck’ at the U.S. Sailing Center Martin County

More than 100 guests attended the fifth annual “All Hands on Deck” High School Sailing Program Fundraiser at the U.S. Sailing Center Martin County (USSCMC) in Jensen Beach. The public event featured live music by the Pine School Steel Drum Band and the Reel Ting by George Pollis, a silent auction and hors d’oeuvres.

Friends of the ACO Benefit Concert Series

Guests experienced the talents of world-renowned pianist Alon Goldstein during a benefit concert held at Willoughby Golf Club. After, attendees had the opportunity to meet with Goldstein and ACO Maestro David Amado during a cocktail reception.

Soroptimist Awards

Soroptimist International of Stuart held its annual awards dinner at the Woman’s Club of Stuart. Members enjoyed a delicious dinner as five deserving women from the community were recognized for their accomplishments with cash stipends to be used for their continuing education. Monies awarded are raised at the Women of Distinction dinner, which is the organizations premiere fundraiser.

The Hibiscus Children’s Center Jo Covelli Fashion Show

Held at Sailfish Point Country Club, the Jo Covelli Fashion Show included more than 200 guests who enjoyed an afternoon of Champagne, silent and live auction items, a luncheon, festive hat contest and sounds by Bobby and the Blisters. The fashion show is the Hibiscus Children’s Center signature celebration. 

LIBRARY FOUNDATION OF MARTIN COUNTY’S KIPLINGER LUNCHEON

The Library Foundation of Martin County honored Helen Blake as the 2018 recipient of the Kiplinger Literacy Award during its luncheon at Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club in Palm City.  The luncheon featured Knight Kiplinger as the keynote speaker and provided attendees with some of his well-informed perspectives on finance and politics.

Treasure Coast Food Bank Spring Forward for Hunger Brunch

Held at Kai Kai Farm, Spring Forward for Hunger allowed guests the chance to receive a full tour of the farm grounds in addition to a multi-course brunch featuring fresh produce grown on-site. Spring Forward For Hunger celebrates Treasure Coast’s harvest and emphasizes the importance of eating foods grown close to home.

BOYS & GIRLS CLUB’s ‘STEAK AND STAKE’

It was a full house at the Santa Lucia River Club at Ballantrae for the ninth annual dinner and auction benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County. More than 250 guests bid on a multitude of live and silent auction items, and were entertained by Club members with a dance and fashion show. The event raised more than $86,000 for the organization's programming.

Rappaport Center Welcomes Robert Putnam

Locals attended an informative and engaging talk by Robert Putnam, a proponent of civic engagement and advisor to world leaders on “The Crumbling American Dream and How To Renew It.” The presentation was held at The Rappaport Center at Temple Beit HaYam.

The Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast held its annual Purse Party at Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club in Palm City. Guests bid on high-end designer purses, accessories and shoes accompanied by gift baskets before a luncheon and fashion show. The Children’s Museum raised $46,000.

BullSugar’s ‘Fund the Fight’

Bullsugar.org hosted an evening of  tribute and proactive fundraising called “Fund the Fight” at River Palms Cottages to celebrate the passage of Senate Bill 10. Guests toasted to those who helped with the southern reservoir bill and positive forward movement toward ending toxic discharges to the St. Lucie and Caloosahatchee, and sending fresh water to the Everglades and Florida Bay.

Martin Health Foundation’s Corporate Partners Recognition Reception

The inaugural affair honored generous corporate sponsors who have significantly helped the health system over the past year. Held at Martin Memorial Hospital, the reception drew 75 attendees who enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while learning about the emergency department renovation update and the new affiliation between Cleveland Clinic Heart & Vascular Institute and Frances Langford Heart Center at Martin Health System.

Treasure Coast Food Bank Brunch

Ground Floor Farm in downtown Stuart hosted “Spring Forward for Hunger” where a sold-out crowd enjoyed complimentary mimosas and sangria along with farm-to-table dishes. The Treasure Coast Food Bank’s recently completed produce processing plant will provide nutritious produce for the community’s vulnerable populations—low-income children, seniors and others who struggle with hunger.

Lyric Celebrates 90 Years

More than 300 people contributed to the success of The Lyric Theatre's 90th Birthday Celebration Auction and Roast of John Loesser. The crowd partied in the theater lobby while bidding on exceptional silent auction items, participating in a rousing live auction and enjoying the show.
