Linda Weiksnar, founder of Moms for Mental Health, and Paula Hundt of Tykes & Teens welcomed child and adolescent psychiatrist Dr. Jennifer Milone to the first in a series of guest speakers on children’s mental health. A double board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Milone spoke to MFMH members and friends on Maternal Emotional Signaling: What We Say Without Words. 

Dine Around Hobe Sound Progressive Dinner

The seventh annual Dine Around Hobe Sound Progressive Dinner kicked-off at Loblolly with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. Themed cuisine included “Havana Nights,” “Tuscan Feast,” “It's 5:00 Somewhere,” “Crab Boil” and more. A dessert and nightcap after-party took place at Flash Beach Grille.

The first of its kind on the Treasure Coast, Healthy Glow Airbrush Tanning celebrated a soft opening at its new studio in Jensen Beach. Owner Susan Brand offers customized airbrush tanning to anyone interested in a “healthy glow.” Raffles and giveaways included contributions from many local beauty businesses.

‘Summer of ’69’ Opening Celebration

The Elliott Museum flashed back to 1969 with more than 300 people dressed as hippies gathered to celebrate the opening reception for the “Summer of ‘69” exhibition showing in the museum's Changing Gallery. The exhibit honors the 50th anniversaries of the crew of Apollo 11's landing on the Moon, the Miracle Mets, the war in Vietnam and Woodstock.

Sumptuous Soirée

More than 150 guests attended a private fundraiser thrown at Dr. Daniel and Marlena Husted’s waterfront home in support of House of Hope’s nutrition garden programs. Decadent desserts were prepared to honor the evening’s theme with cascading fruits and vegetables adorning a four-tiered cake. An on-site sommelier offered pairings to accompany the extensive selections of charcuterie, raw bar and tapas.

Environmental Studies Council Havana Nights Gala

Lehr and Paul Filipe opened up their tropical oasis home to friends and supporters of the Environmental Studies Council for the Havana Nights gala. Guests enjoyed an evening of entertainment, Cuban cuisine and a silent auction.

The Kentucky Derby Party benefiting JDRF

Kevin and Georgiana Hawken welcomed guests to their Stuart home for a party held in honor of Preston Honea who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 7 years old. Guests enjoyed Southern fare, sipped on mint juleps and donated to the local Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation chapter in Preston’s honor. The event raised $6,000.

Patricia Lambrecht hosted the private party at her Palm Beach home in celebration of StarStruck Theatre’s building purchase, bringing StarStruck’s dream of having a "forever home" to fruition. The party also marked the launch of the non-profit Children’s Theatre capital improvement campaign to revitalize the nearly 20-year-old building with necessary maintenance and upgrades.

Live and silent auctions raised the much-needed financial support while community members celebrated their bond in sailing with cocktails, dinner, live music and dancing. Novins Golf

The Robert F. Novins Memorial Golf Tournament and Reception exceeded the $115,000 goal commemorating the 15th consecutive year of this event. 200 guests enjoyed live music, food, and an auction at the reception. The golfers battled the heat and rain during the tournament and had a sensational time.  The funds will allow the VIM Clinic to provide free health care for the uninsured residents of Martin County.

Classics At The Beach Pre-Show Cocktail Party

Infiniti Stuart got the Elliott Museum's 23rd annual Classics at the Beach Car Show off to a start with a pre-show at its showroom. Exhibitors and friends of the Elliott enjoyed an evening of wining, dining and live music. The event was set against an impressive display of vintage automobiles.

Hobe Sound Nature Center’s ‘Into the Wild’ Fundraiser

The Hobe Sound Nature Center welcomed “Jungle” Jack Hanna as its keynote speaker for the spring fundraising dinner, “Into the Wild,” held at Jupiter Hills Club. Guests mingled during the cocktail hour, which featured live and silent auctions. Hanna spoke about his travels and experiences in supporting wildlife conservation and the importance of environmental awareness and education.

Marc-Michaels Interior Design hosted a spec-house preview party on the ocean at Marc Thee's first designer branded residence. Hors d'oeuvres and cocktails kept the momentum going while guests browsed the luxury designer home.
