More than 76 participants, from novices to straight shooters, put their marksmanship to the test at the Kiwanis Challenge fundraiser. The sporting clay tournament was held at the exclusive South Florida Shooting Club. Martin Health Foundation’s Corporate Partners Recognition Reception
The inaugural affair honored generous corporate sponsors who have significantly helped the health system over the past year. Held at Martin Memorial Hospital, the reception drew 75 attendees who enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while learning about the emergency department renovation update and the new affiliation between Cleveland Clinic Heart & Vascular Institute and Frances Langford Heart Center at Martin Health System.
‘Love Your Lagoon’ Gala
The sixth annual sold-out event hosted by Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute Foundation brought more than 315 people together who helped raise critical funding to benefit Florida Atlantic University’s Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. Proceeds from the gala will fund the 2017 Indian River Lagoon Graduate Research Fellows program.
‘We Made Room at the Inn for You’
Steven Vitale, owner of the Old Colorado Inn and five historic homes on Seminole Street, which have been remodeled into charming guest cottages, made the buildings available to Mary's Shelter to use as a fundraising event. The event helped to raise funds to benefit the organization.

Supporters of the Treasure Coast Wildlife Center came out to Flagler Place in Stuart for the annual costume bash. Audubon of Martin County Soiree
Friends at the Audubon celebrated long-standing members who have participated in the success of the society and welcomed its new members. Nonmembers were also invited to learn more about Audubon. Treasure Coast Wildlife brought a rehabilitating Crested-Caracara and gave a brief lecture on the Cara, its habits and habitats. Nearly 80 people attended the get-together.

Lyric Celebrates 90 Years
More than 300 people contributed to the success of The Lyric Theatre's 90th Birthday Celebration Auction and Roast of John Loesser. The crowd partied in the theater lobby while bidding on exceptional silent auction items, participating in a rousing live auction and enjoying the show.
Humane Society’s ‘Mutt March
Hundreds of animal lovers attended the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast’s 14th annual event. Highlights included a 5K run and Dog Jog, a flea market full of vendors, doggie photo booth, lure course, fun-run and the grand finale—a pet costume contest. Held at Memorial Park in Stuart, the event raised nearly $40,000, which will go toward the care of the shelters' animals in Palm City.

Held at the museum, guests began the evening with cocktails and steel drum sounds, followed by an aerial dance performance on silks. 4C’S HOLIDAY COOKIE LUNCH AND COMPETITION
More than 200 attendees sampled cookies and enjoyed a lunch at Mariner Sands Country Club to support Caring Children Clothing Children. Local country club chefs provided dozens of their special holiday cookies for tasting and judging. Five celebrity judges voted on the best tasting cookie, which this year went to Stuart Corinthian Yacht Club. Miles Grant Country Club won The People’s Choice Award.
Samaritan Center Benefit Concert
Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., the popular winner of the sixth season of “America's Got Talent,” set the tone for “An Evening of Sinatra and Motown.” Proceeds from the Lyric Theatre performance benefited the Samaritan Center for Young Boys & Families, celebrating its 50th year in Stuart. Prior to the performance, Murphy mingled with Samaritan Center supporters at a Champagne reception at the Geoffrey Smith Gallery.
Thanks for the Memories
The Elliott Museum hosted “Thanks for the Memories: A Celebration of the 1940s, Bob Hope, Frances Langford, the USO, Big Band Music, Swing Dance and Golf.” Guests danced the night away and enjoyed wining and dining, a costume contest, raffle and silent auction. Proceeds benefit the Elliott Museum’s Annual Giving Campaign.
Sculpture Unveiling at Geoffrey C. Smith Galleries
The exclusive gathering featured an unveiling of the newest sculpture by wildlife artist Geoffrey C. Smith at his gallery in Stuart. Hundreds of collectors, admirers and community leaders got a first look at “Community Gathering,” a bronze cypress tree serving as a perch for life-sized kingfisher, snowy egret, two ibis and a rosette spoonbill.

Treasure Coast Food Bank Spring Forward for Hunger Brunch
Held at Kai Kai Farm, Spring Forward for Hunger allowed guests the chance to receive a full tour of the farm grounds in addition to a multi-course brunch featuring fresh produce grown on-site. Spring Forward For Hunger celebrates Treasure Coast’s harvest and emphasizes the importance of eating foods grown close to home.
