The U.S. Sailing Center of Martin County’s ‘Ports of Call’ Gala
Martin County’s 19th annual fundraiser, “Ports of Call” welcomed a group of 130 community members to an evening of celebration at the Frances Langford Pavilion at Indian RiverSide Park in Jensen Beach. The event raised funds for outreach programs, scholarships and the purchasing of boats, safety, communication and rigging equipment.
New Horizons ‘Flamingle’
Board Director Mary Baysinger hosted New Horizons of the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee's “Flamingle” at her waterfront home in Palm City for a meet-and-mingle with friends and neighbors interested in learning more about the organization. Some 50 guests met the newly appointed CEO of New Horizons, George Shopland, as well as Congressman Brian Mast and State Representative Toby Overdorf.
Adams Ranch Cattlemen’s Dance
A crowd of nearly 500 guests put on their jeans and boots for the annual Adams Ranch Cattlemen’s Dance, benefiting the Sunrise Theatre Foundation. Those in attendance enjoyed barbecue and participated in country line-dancing with the Wild Roses Dance Team and music from Nashville recording artist Tom Jackson.

Soroptimist Awards
Soroptimist International of Stuart held its annual awards dinner at the Woman’s Club of Stuart. Members enjoyed a delicious dinner as five deserving women from the community were recognized for their accomplishments with cash stipends to be used for their continuing education. Monies awarded are raised at the Women of Distinction dinner, which is the organizations premiere fundraiser.
Stuart Sailfish Club Gala
The organization celebrated its diamond anniversary attended by more than 150 members and guests at Flagler Place in Stuart. Guests were treated to cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a sit-down dinner. The evening culminated in an awards ceremony honoring Andy Kubiak with the Inaugural Ernie Lyons Lifetime Achievement Award.
THE YOUNG PROFESSIONALS OF MARTIN COUNTY WHITE PARTY
The Young Professionals of Martin County hosted more than 60 young professionals for its annual Holiday White Party at Z Bar Ranch in Palm City. Guests danced the night away with music from DJs Aidan Wells and Loren Reeves, food from chef Howard Farro and collected toys for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin County.
Impact 100 Grant awards
Impact 100 Martin's 151 members voted to select the Education Foundation of Martin County as its $100,000 Impact Grant recipient at the collective giving organization's second annual Grant Awards Celebration at Piper's Landing Yacht & Country Club.

Sumptuous Soirée
More than 150 guests attended a private fundraiser thrown at Dr. Daniel and Marlena Husted’s waterfront home in support of House of Hope’s nutrition garden programs. Decadent desserts were prepared to honor the evening’s theme with cascading fruits and vegetables adorning a four-tiered cake. An on-site sommelier offered pairings to accompany the extensive selections of charcuterie, raw bar and tapas.
Mary’s Shelter Fashion Show & Luncheon
Mary's Shelter celebrated its ninth annual Fashion Show & Luncheon at Willoughby Golf Club with WPTV News Channel 5's Kelley Dunn as the emcee for the program. Guests enjoyed a fashion show hosted by the Seaside Sisters in addition to auction items and vendor boutiques.

Private Affair Announces ‘Coastal Detox’ Opening
A private holiday party hosted by Laura and Dean Crawford celebrated the opening of their new venture, Coastal Detox, and also supported the Thomas More Law Center. Attendees were ushered into the event by Martin County High School ROTC students. Guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers while learning about the new center.
BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF MARTIN COUNTY’S ANNUAL BENEFIT
Jupiter Island Club hosted the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County’s annual benefit. The event celebrated the club’s 27 years of changing children’s lives for the better in Martin County.
Sea of Hope Celebration
Place of Hope expanded its services into the Treasure Coast in 2015, hoping to reach families who would consider fostering abused, neglected or abandoned child or siblings who needed safe haven. The success of its efforts were marked with the first Place of Hope Treasure Coast Sea of Hope Luncheon, led by its volunteer corps of Martin and Indian River County residents, known as Angel Moms. The fund- and friend-raising luncheon was held at Stuart Corinthian Yacht Club in Stuart. The luncheon featured a variety of pop-up shops on the “Sea of Hope Vendor Boardwalk,” a silent auction and lunch.
Local Organizations Benefit From Mariner Sands’ Charity Week
Charity Week is a weeklong tradition that takes place annually with the goal of giving back to Martin County non-profit organizations. Events of the week varied, culminating with the “Stars with Hearts” Gala. This year, more than $340,000 was raised to give back to selected focus charities. Support from Mariner Sands Charity Week helps us continue our mission, providing a lifelong, positive impact to those within and related to our program and thus the community at large.
Economic Council’s Annual Dinner & Installation
Council members were transported “Back to the Future” at a 1950s prom-themed event held in the gymnasium of St. Joseph Catholic School. Members dressed up and danced to the classic rock ‘n’ roll music of Rocky and the Rollers. The 2017 board of directors were installed during the evening.
CARING FIELDS FELINES’ ‘MERRY MEOWS’
More than 350 guests welcomed in the holidays at “Merry Meows,” the annual fundraiser for Caring Fields Felines. Party-goers enjoyed cocktails and appetizers while tapping their toes to the sounds of Big Coque. The event raised nearly $60,000 to support CFF’s feline rescue and adoption work.
