More than 80 people participated in the fourth annual tournament, held at Willoughby Golf Club in Stuart. The event included a full round of golf, cocktail reception, silent auction and hole-in-one prizes. U.S. Customs Facility Celebration
To celebrate the success of the new U.S. Customs Facility at Witham Field, The Economic Council of Martin County hosted a celebration featuring live entertainment with local leaders in attendance.
Mr. Studfinder Charity Auction
The studliest night of the event season featured impromptu dancing, a golfing legend and affordable housing for one family in Indiantown. Habitat for Humanity of Martin County held its seventh annual Mr. StudFinder Charity Auction at Indian Riverside Park where local professionals auctioned off their businesses’ services. Proceeds benefited Habitat for Humanity of Martin County’s Women Build.
Stuart Magazine Launch Party
Onlookers joined The Arts Council of Martin County and Stuart Magazine at the Boat House in downtown Stuart for the unveiling of the December cover featuring Stuart artist Chris Kling. Chris Kling created three beautiful downtown Stuart scenes that were featured on merchandise at the 30th anniversary of ArtsFest held in February at Memorial Park.
The Frances Langford Fund Awards
The Martin County Community Foundation event took place at Dolphin Bar and Shrimp House in Jensen Beach, and awarded grants totaling $303,620 to seven local non-profits to fund programs in 2018 and 2019. The grants will support work in five categories: literacy, research, social services, training and vocational education.
Classics At The Beach Pre-Show Cocktail Party
Infiniti Stuart got the Elliott Museum's 23rd annual Classics at the Beach Car Show off to a start with a pre-show at its showroom. Exhibitors and friends of the Elliott enjoyed an evening of wining, dining and live music. The event was set against an impressive display of vintage automobiles.

Pine School families and charitable members of the community joined the elegant gala “One Knight,” held at the Hobe Sound campus. The theme celebrated the joining of the schools onto one campus in Hobe Sound for the 2015-16 school year. The Lyric League’s ‘Thank You’ Party
A thank you party was hosted in honor of the sponsors of the inaugural Youth Arts Celebration, where 27 performances took place by 65 emerging young artists. The Celebration raised more than $25,000 for The Lyric Theatre’s arts and education programs.
Thanks for the Memories
The Elliott Museum hosted “Thanks for the Memories: A Celebration of the 1940s, Bob Hope, Frances Langford, the USO, Big Band Music, Swing Dance and Golf.” Guests danced the night away and enjoyed wining and dining, a costume contest, raffle and silent auction. Proceeds benefit the Elliott Museum’s Annual Giving Campaign.
CARING FIELDS FELINES’ ‘MERRY MEOWS’
More than 350 guests welcomed in the holidays at “Merry Meows,” the annual fundraiser for Caring Fields Felines. Party-goers enjoyed cocktails and appetizers while tapping their toes to the sounds of Big Coque. The event raised nearly $60,000 to support CFF’s feline rescue and adoption work.

Nearly 200 guests attended the fourth annual fundraiser at the PGA Country Club in Port St. Lucie. Belly dancers, fire eating and henna tattoos were all part of the fun, with live and silent auctions raising more than $54,000. The Pine School’s Midknight Cowboy Evening at Auction
Supporters of The Pine School gathered and raised $220,000, which will go toward improving and supporting the school’s faculty and students. Guests were treated to music from the Sierra Band while dining on a family-style meal provided by chef Kelly Moore from FLIK catering. The evening also included silent auction items and a live auction section.
Samaritan Center Asks, ‘Are You Smarter Than A 5Th Grader?
Contestants enjoyed cocktails and a “gourmet classroom” dinner before a rousing game of "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" Boys from the school were hired as “consultants” to provide each team assistance at the competitive fundraising event. The fun and fast-paced evening raised money for the Center’s academic materials and scholarship fund.

Nearly 50 members and guests gathered for the bi-monthly networking breakfast at Ground Floor Farms, an urban farm and community space. The main topic discussed was on the success of partnerships in our area that help create a vibrant and thriving downtown.
Boys & Girls Club of Martin County’s Distinguished Speaker’s Luncheon
Howard Schultz, founder and executive chair of Starbucks, was guest speaker at the sixth annual Distinguished Speaker’s Luncheon series to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County. A sold-out crowd of 230 at Sailfish Point Country Club heard Schultz talk about the positive impact his boyhood membership to the Brownsville (Brooklyn, New York) Boys Club made on his life.
Literacy Award Luncheon
The Library Foundation of Martin County and Knight Kiplinger honored May Smyth as this year's recipient of the Kiplinger Literacy Award during the Literacy Award Luncheon at Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club. The luncheon featured Kiplinger as the keynote speaker who gave his perspective on finance and politics.
