Hibiscus Children’s Center ‘All That Jazz Casino Night’
Nearly 200 guests dressed in “Roaring '20s” attire and enjoyed a casino-night themed evening at Mariner Sands Country Club. The event included a cocktail hour, casino games, dinner and a musical performance of “All That Jazz” by Jessica Santana.
Sailfish Realty Open House
Sailfish Realty held its annual open house for friends and clients to mingle and enjoy cocktails and appetizers. The celebration was tied into a food drive for House of Hope and raised more than 200 pounds of food and more than $300 in monetary donations.
CARING FIELDS FELINES’ ‘MERRY MEOWS’
More than 350 guests welcomed in the holidays at “Merry Meows,” the annual fundraiser for Caring Fields Felines. Party-goers enjoyed cocktails and appetizers while tapping their toes to the sounds of Big Coque. The event raised nearly $60,000 to support CFF’s feline rescue and adoption work.
Elev8hope Casino Night
The Casino Night was held at Indian Riverside Park with more than 300 people in attendance. Guests rolled the dice to celebrate and support Elev8hope’s mission, raising a total of $75,000.

Hundreds of Women flocked to the Business and Health Expo's 15th anniversary, held at the Hutchinson Island Marriott Resort. "Straight from the Heart" was the theme in support of the American Heart Association. United Way of Martin County Foundation Frances Langford Humanitarian Award Reception
The organization honored Joe and Margaret Richebourg Temple with the 2019 Frances Langford Humanitarian Award during a reception held at Sailfish Point Country Club. The couple was honored for their ongoing philanthropic endeavors directly benefiting United Way as well as a multitude of non-profit organizations throughout the community.
PALM CITY COUNTRY PICNIC AND FESTIVAL
Nearly 500 people stopped by the home of the rescued horses at the Equine Rescue and Adoption Foundation, who teamed up with the Palm City Farms Trail Association to host an open house and fundraiser for both organizations. Guests enjoyed a barbecue, auctions, a variety of demonstrations in the arena and performances from local entertainment.

‘Business Appreciation AWARDS’ Luncheon
The Business Development Board of Martin County honored Martin County's business community at the prestigious Sailfish Point on Hutchinson Island. More than 180 guests attended the event, which featured keynote speaker Eric Silagy, president and CEO at Florida Power and Light Company. Mark Robitaille, recently retired president and CEO at Martin Health System, was the Charlene Hoag Award Recipient.
Manatee Observation And Education Center
Supporters came out to the Pelican Yacht Club to kick off the Center's 20th anniversary. Guests enjoyed an up-close encounter with resident sea stars and urchins from the touch tank used in outreach programs for the community and schools; a pictorial exhibit; and a nautically inspired vignette from the Vanishing Mermaid Gift Shop. The fundraising gala, "Manatee Magic 2016," will be held at MOEC on Nov. 5.

The opening reception took place at the Arts Council of Martin County. Pine School families and charitable members of the community dressed in ‘80s garb for the gala held at the school’s Hobe Sound campus. The ‘80s prom-themed affair featured both silent and live auction items. This year’s gala raised more than $400,000 with all proceeds going directly into the day-to-day operations and curriculum of the school.Read more about pine school prom knight
Women Supporting The Arts
At their annual reception, Women Supporting the Arts members, special guests and 2016 grant recipients celebrated 12 years of making dreams come true with the arts in Martin County. Born as a dream to bring new sources of funding to the arts community, the organization is making a difference in the cultural landscape.
House of hope’s Charity Doubles Tournament
Proceeds from the three-day annual Charity Doubles Tournament hosted by Buttonwood Tennis Club benefited House of Hope, supporting the agency’s mission to empower Martin County residents to overcome hunger and hardship. The tournament included the Serve Some Hope VIP Party and Pro-Am competition.
Local Organizations Benefit From Mariner Sands’ Charity Week
Charity Week is a weeklong tradition that takes place annually with the goal of giving back to Martin County non-profit organizations. Events of the week varied, culminating with the “Stars with Hearts” Gala. This year, more than $340,000 was raised to give back to selected focus charities. Support from Mariner Sands Charity Week helps us continue our mission, providing a lifelong, positive impact to those within and related to our program and thus the community at large.
Elliott Museum Cocktail Car Show
The 20th Annual Elliott Museum Car Show Classics at the Beach featured over 90 vintage and unusual cars. More than 1,000 people attended the event held in the parking lot of the Elliott Museum to see the cars, talk with the owners, vote for their favorites, and enjoy a fun time with their families and friends. A pre show Benefit Reception was sponsored by Audi Stuart and Infiniti Stuart in the Audi Stuart show room the evening before the car show. Both events benefitted the Elliott Museum.
Adams Ranch Cattlemen’s Dance
A crowd of nearly 500 guests put on their jeans and boots for the annual Adams Ranch Cattlemen’s Dance, benefiting the Sunrise Theatre Foundation. Those in attendance enjoyed barbecue and participated in country line-dancing with the Wild Roses Dance Team and music from Nashville recording artist Tom Jackson.
Meritage Home’s Langford Landing Grand Opening
The anticipated grand opening of Meritage Home’s Langford Landing community allowed more than 200 attendees to tour the St. Croix and St. Kitts models. Langford Landing is a gated community of 60 homesites and features a private marina, which has direct access to the St. Lucie River and Stuart Inlet.
