More than 80 people participated in the fourth annual tournament, held at Willoughby Golf Club in Stuart. The event included a full round of golf, cocktail reception, silent auction and hole-in-one prizes. Martin Health System celebrated the grand opening of Tradition Medical Center with a number of events for the community. The 90-bed hospital, located on the Tradition Center for Innovation campus in west Port St. Lucie, attracted community leaders, physicians and supporters, as well as an estimated 6,000 area residents who came for tours of the facility.Read more about Tradition medical center grand opening

The annual charity gala raised $1.35 million with this year’s medieval theme and drew 450 patrons to a private residence in Sailfish Point. It was a fun-filled evening of giving as guests dined and mingled at the Palm Cove Clubhouse before touring five decorated homes, then heading back to the clubhouse for dessert and trivia. More than 140 celebrities and supporters gathered at The Bear’s Club in Jupiter for the 13th annual event, which included dinner, and live and silent auctions. A golf tournament was held the next day. Talented chefs from ten country clubs competed for top baking honors at the third Holiday Cookie Competition and Luncheon benefiting The 4Cs – Caring Children/Clothing Children. A panel of local “celebrity” judges chose the winner based on different categories.
