Highlights of the evening included wine tasting and live auction bidding on nine historic windows that had been transformed into works of art by noted artists. Community members gathered together recently to welcome Susan de Cuba into her new role as CEO of Treasure Coast Hospice. Receptions took place at the hospice’s Mayes Center for Hope in Stuart and William & Helen Thomas Counseling Center in Fort Pierce. Beginning at the Lyric Theatre, The Cab Calloway Orchestra took stage. Afterward, the party moved to the Elliott Museum, which turned into ‘The Cotton Club Speakeasy.’ The fundraising event raised $50,000 to help support the Lyric. A golf tournament was held the next day.
