Swinging Fore The ARC Golf Tournament
The ARC of Martin County held its annual Swinging Fore the ARC Golf Tournament at Piper's Landing Yacht and Country Club in Palm City. The two-day event included an evening cocktail party and auction in addition to golf festivities.
The Women’s Council of Realtors Purse Auction
The Women's Council of Realtors held its 13th annual Purse Auction themed “Diamonds and Pearls” at the Stuart Yacht and Country Club, during which a selection of 75 purses was displayed. A portion of the proceeds benefited Friends in Pink and Operation 300 (Bahamas relief funds).
Lifebuilders of the Treasure Coast
More than 200 people were entertained with live entertainment and Broadway songs at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie. The cocktail party kicked off a sold-out golf tournament held the next day. Hors d'oeuvres were provided, as well as a New York-themed buffet. More than $72,000 was raised for this worthy cause.
Elliott Museum’s Watercolor Opening Exhibition
The Elliott Museum presented the prestigious Florida Watercolor Society's Traveling Exhibition. Onlookers viewed the 35 pieces on display, which were selected from more than 600 submissions. The Elliott is one of only two museums in the country to be selected for this prestigious show.

Held at Sailfish Point Country Club, the evening commemorated the Orchestra’s landmark 25th anniversary season and Maestro Stewart Robertson for his artistic leadership since 2004. The benefit concert featured award-winning pianist Lindsay Garritson and cellist Ashley Garritson. HOUSE OF HOPE AWARDS LUNCHEON
Extraordinary partners were honored in the fight against hunger and hardship in Martin County. Two dozen individuals, groups, businesses, churches, schools and volunteers received awards for their long-term, wide-ranging or otherwise significant relationships with House of Hope. The event was held at St. Mary's Pittenger Center.

Founding Friends of Treasure Coast Hospice hosted its 2nd annual Joker’s Wild Casino Night at Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club. Attendees enjoyed an evening with food, friends and even a little bit of gambling. Florida Oceanographic Society members and guests kicked off their weekend in style at the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center on Hutchinson Island in Stuart. Empty Bowls Project
This annual project honors the late ceramic artist Lundin Kudo. Nearly 400 people attended the event at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. For a small donation, people chose a locally designed, one-of-a-kind hand-crafted bowl to hold one of the many delicious homemade soups, all of which were donated by local restaurants. There was also a ‘souper bowls’ silent auction. Nearly $10,000 was raised with proceeds going to Mary’s Soup Kitchen and the Treasure Coast Food Bank.
Hobe Sound Chamber Member Breakfast
Roughly 95 attendees gathered at the Hobe Sound Bible College for the Hobe Sound Chamber Membership Breakfast. Stuart Magazine sponsored the breakfast with publisher Kim Capen as a speaker. The guest speaker was Joan Rogers from the MC Realtors Association, who discussed recent local real estate trends. Meetings are held as networking and educational opportunities for Chamber members and guests.

The 14th annual Robert F. Novins Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Willoughby Golf Club, with a pre-tournament reception held the evening before at Carsons Tavern with silent and live auctions. Piper’s Landing in Palm City set the backdrop to United Way of Martin County Community Leaders’ Breakfast, which kicked off the 2017-18 annual campaign. The event celebrated past accomplishments and future endeavors.
Cocktails for a Cause
More than 130 Planned Parenthood supporters joined together at a Stuart home to celebrate the work of Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida during the annual event. Funds raised will ensure access to reproductive health care and information in Martin County and surrounding areas.
Vero Beach Wine and Film Festival White Party
Guests sipped and savored the experience at Cinema De La Mer, the first super-secret white party held at Royal Palm Pointe Park in Vero Beach. Following a Veuve Clicquot Champagne toast, the dates were announced for the summer—June 8 to 11. After sunset, all enjoyed an open-air screening of “The Colossal Failure of the Modern Relationship."
Boys & Girls Club of Martin County Youth of the Year
During a reception at Willoughby Golf Club, the Boys & Girls Club of Martin County selected its Youth of the Year candidate. The evening also featured live music and a keynote address by Anthony Davis, executive director of the Port Salerno Club.
Girl scouts host ‘Gems of stem’ luncheon
More than 120 attendees helped Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida celebrate the accomplishments of four St. Lucie County women at their Gems of STEM luncheon. The luncheon featured a silent auction as well as a chance drawing for a diamond ring. All monies raised from the event will support Girl Scouting in St. Lucie County.

The Humane Society Of The Treasure Coast’s ‘Paws And Claws’
The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast raised more than $200,ooo at its premier fundraising event held at Willoughby Golf Club in Stuart. The gala, with a “Paws to Celebrate” theme, included WPTV anchor Jay Cashmere, who served as the emcee for the night. Guests enjoyed a putting contest, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, dancing and silent and live auctions.
