Martin Health System celebrated the grand opening of Tradition Medical Center with a number of events for the community. The 90-bed hospital, located on the Tradition Center for Innovation campus in west Port St. Lucie, attracted community leaders, physicians and supporters, as well as an estimated 6,000 area residents who came for tours of the facility.Read more about Tradition medical center grand opening
Treasure Coast Food Bank’s Fresh Food Processing Plant Launch
Dignitaries and friends celebrated the new $2.4 million fresh food processing plant and fresh produce initiative, the Florida Agriculture & Nourishment Collaborative at the new facility with Treasure Coast Food Bank’s board and staff. The program is expected to channel 25 million pounds of fresh, nutritious produce from area farms to food-insecure individuals during its inaugural year. Attendees honored H. William Lichtenberger for his $1.5 million gift.
The Lyric League Youth Arts Celebration
The inaugural Arts Celebration boasted the talents of 27 amazing performances by 65 kids, ages 18 and younger, including actors, singers, dancers, musicians, acrobats, spoken word poets and more. The Lyric League, an auxiliary group of The Lyric Theatre board, presented the event.

Caring Fields Felines held its annual “Merry Meows Festival” fundraiser featuring food, drink, music and a silent auction. ‘CORKS AND COLLARS’ Dinner
The fundraiser, held at Ristorante Claretta in Palm City, benefited Dogs and Cats Forever, a no-kill animal sanctuary. Director Jay Apicella was awarded with a lifetime service award, giving 20 years of her life to the organization. More than $15,000 was raised.
Seminole Bluff Groundbreaking
Local dignitaries attended the groundbreaking on the banks of the St. Lucie River for Seminole Bluff, Florida's limited-edition, luxury waterfront residences, which are officially underway in construction.

Hobe Sound Nature Center’s ‘Into the Wild’ Fundraiser
The Hobe Sound Nature Center welcomed “Jungle” Jack Hanna as its keynote speaker for the spring fundraising dinner, “Into the Wild,” held at Jupiter Hills Club. Guests mingled during the cocktail hour, which featured live and silent auctions. Hanna spoke about his travels and experiences in supporting wildlife conservation and the importance of environmental awareness and education.

River House Stuart Groundbreaking Ceremony
Local downtown business owners, City of Stuart officials and top Martin County realtors joined Hollub Homes for a groundbreaking ceremony on the future riverfront site of RIVER HOUSE, which was hosted by Stephen P. Ngo, Realtor at Premier Realty Group. The development will offer 20 upscale luxury residences with private two-car garages and electric vehicle charging capabilities. Tesla of West Palm Beach showcased a “Model X” electric vehicle for guests.
Lean In Series
Jupiter Island resident Barbara Whitney Carr was the fifth speaker in the Lean In series hosted by Crary Buchanan Law, which invites remarkable women to speak unscripted about their professional lives, the roadblocks as well as the triumphs. Ms. Carr is renowned for her work as a CEO leading two beloved Chicago landmark institutions: Chicago Botanical Gardens and the Lincoln Park Zoological Society, where her fundraising campaigns broke records. She serves on the board of the Everglades Foundation and is the first woman to be elected president of the Jupiter Island Club.
Sunrise Theatre Foundation’s ‘Cattleman’s Dance’
Guests enjoyed music from the Randy McNeely Band, an auction with signed guitars and more during the Cattleman’s Dance held at Adams Ranch. All proceeds benefited the Sunrise Theatre Foundation, which brings the performing arts and cultural enrichment to the Treasure Coast community.
Literacy Award Luncheon
The Library Foundation of Martin County and Knight Kiplinger honored May Smyth as this year's recipient of the Kiplinger Literacy Award during the Literacy Award Luncheon at Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club. The luncheon featured Kiplinger as the keynote speaker who gave his perspective on finance and politics.

The Kane Center in Stuart was a Polynesian paradise when the Council on Aging held its annual gala. Guests were wowed with a first-class Hukilau, including a themed gourmet meal, complete with an interactive Mai Kai-style dinner show. Hurricane Dorian Relief Event
Premier Realty Group teamed up with Operation 300 for an event at Carsons Tavern. Raffles and gift baskets were auctioned with all proceeds going directly to Operation 300's Bahamas hurricane relief effort.
