Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin counties ‘Let the Good Times...

The Capital Bank Foundation hosted the sold-out event at The Fox Club to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties. Guests enjoyed an Italian feast and entertainment from the Sounds of Dennis G in addition to a live auction.

Economic Council’s Annual Dinner & Installation

Council members were transported “Back to the Future” at a 1950s prom-themed event held in the gymnasium of St. Joseph Catholic School. Members dressed up and danced to the classic rock ‘n’ roll music of Rocky and the Rollers. The 2017 board of directors were installed during the evening.

Martin County Community Foundation

It was standing room only at the Dolphin Bar when Elizabeth Barbella, executive director, spoke to 120 invited guests to unveil how the new Frances Langford Fund for Martin County will deliver $300,000 to support services that will benefit Martin County residents through four grants to non-profit agencies.  Nearly 70 agencies were represented. Grant winners will be announced in June.

Helping People Succeed’s White Shirt Night

The signature event took place at Taste Casual Dining where some of Martin County’s finest artists created artwork on shirts, aprons, hats and bags. White Shirt Night raises funds to send kids to Camps Success, an eight-week summer learning program for at-risk children.

‘Pack the House’

More than 500 volunteers sorted every can, box, jar and bag during Treasure Coast Food Bank’s second annual event. Volunteers were entertained with karaoke music, recharged with Zumba for a midnight break, and as the sun rose, stretched and refreshed with a yoga class. Two hundred and fifty thousand pounds of food—enough for 200,000 meals—was donated for the fight against hunger on the Treasure Coast.

Girl scouts host ‘Gems of stem’ luncheon

More than 120 attendees helped Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida celebrate the accomplishments of four St. Lucie County women at their Gems of STEM luncheon. The luncheon featured a silent auction as well as a chance drawing for a diamond ring. All monies raised from the event will support Girl Scouting in St. Lucie County.

Vero Beach Wine And Film Festival

A sold-out crowd joined filmmakers and winemakers at the kick0ff party held at the Riverside Theatre. The inaugural four-day event consisted of wining and dining, films and  speakers. Part of the proceeds benefited Suncoast Mental Health Center.  Be sure to save the date for next year's festival, taking place  June 7 to 11.
