Local leaders celebrated the roof-topping of Azul Apartments, which are set to open in June. Stuart commissioners plan to bring in year-round residents to help support the continued success of downtown.

Martin County Community Foundation hosted a holiday celebration at its new Stuart location. New and existing board members along with guests were welcomed to ring in the season and celebrate the spirit of philanthropy in the community.

The exquisite beauty of studio glass by Dale Chihuly, the grand master, and Marlene Rose, a Florida-based next-generation master, were on display in the A.E. Backus Museum's exhibition “Masters of Glass: Dale Chihuly and Marlene Rose.” Guests were able to meet and mingle with the designers during the event.

The Children's Museum of the Treasure Coast was transformed into a real-life comic book during its “Superhero Smash!” Children's Ball with kids and adults dressing up for the occasion. Guests enjoyed numerous activities and raised more than $12,000.

The annual Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County Great Futures Dinner celebrated the past, present and future with an evening filled with hope and optimism. This year's celebration took place at the Kane Center as current club members shared personal stories.

The Donor Appreciation Evening took place at The Chef's Table in Stuart. HSTC President and CEO Frank Valente and donor relations manager Taylor Gilmour welcomed and thanked guests of honor for their continued support of the organization.

Hosted by Jack and Barbara Nicklaus at the Coastal Center, the event educated guests about the Capital Campaign for a new Ocean EcoCenter, Gamefish Lagoon Bridges, waterworks exploration zone and gift shop expansion.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) – Treasure Coast Chapter hosted a special ceremony at the Santa Lucia River Club to recognize charitable giving and volunteerism by individuals and businesses in Martin and St. Lucie counties.

The ARC of Martin County held its annual Swinging Fore the ARC Golf Tournament at Piper's Landing Yacht and Country Club in Palm City. The two-day event included an evening cocktail party and auction in addition to golf festivities.

The 60th-anniversary event took place at Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club and celebrated six decades of community mental health services for children and adults on the Treasure Coast. The inaugural New Horizons Mental Health Champion Award went to CEO John Romano, who retired at the end of 2018 after serving for 30 years with the non-profit agency.

The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary held its annual Wings of Hope Luncheon to raise funding and awareness for Compassion House, the Army's transitional shelter for homeless women and children. The event, held at Piper's Landing in Palm City, featured WPTV NewsChannel 5 anchor Kelley Dunn as the guest speaker.

Young Professionals of Martin County hosted its Futures Luncheon sponsored by Team Parks at the Wolf Center at Indian River State College. The event engaged community leaders and members in a conversation about the future of Martin County and how to best contribute to its success.

Black and white with a splash of red was the theme of the event as Helping People Succeed unveiled the 2019 Art for Living Calendar at Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club. After cocktails and the silent auction, guests were seated in a formal setting for a plated dinner served with wine pairings.

Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., the popular winner of the sixth season of “America's Got Talent,” set the tone for “An Evening of Sinatra and Motown.” Proceeds from the Lyric Theatre performance benefited the Samaritan Center for Young Boys & Families, celebrating its 50th year in Stuart. Prior to the performance, Murphy mingled with Samaritan Center supporters at a Champagne reception at the Geoffrey Smith Gallery.

The organization held its annual “Thanks for Giving” reception and dinner at Pietro's on the River. The event recognized outstanding commitment to the Treasure Coast Hospice's mission.

Alan Franciosi, general manager of Infiniti Stuart, hosted a VIP cocktail party to kick off the Woman's Club of Stuart's annual Holiday Home Tour. About 100 guests attended the party in Infiniti's showroom.

The annual event attracted approximately 3,000 visitors and raised more than $135,000. Funds from the week-long holiday event support direct patient care, allowing local families in need access to high-quality mental health services for their children.

Fashionistas were invited to Flagler Place for the winter edition of Treasure Coast Fashion Night. Inspired by New York Fashion Week, the charitable event, organized by Msebenzi Masondo, real estate strategist with Engel & Völkers, benefited StarStruck Theatre.

The Pine School welcomed 210 guests for a Bollywood-themed event at the 142-acre campus in Hobe Sound. Guests dressed in authentic attire and enjoyed a three-course dinner, silent and live auctions and dancing.

Guests met at Stuart Jet Center for the Chrysanthemum Ball, which raised $970,000 for a neurointerventional biplane fluoroscopy system at Martin Health System. Soon, the center will be able to offer biplane fluoroscopy to patients who have suffered an ischemic stroke
