New Horizons is the largest mental health and addiction recovery agency in the region, serving 14,000 children and adults annually, regardless of their ability to pay. No one is turned away due to lack of financial resources. New Horizons has two outpatient offices in Stuart, three in Fort Pierce, two in Vero Beach, and one in Okeechobee. The main campus also houses 100 inpatient clients in crisis as a Baker Act and Marchman Act receiving facility for children and adults, and offers residential detox and substance use disorder treatment programs. The agency partners with the court system, law enforcement, school districts, as well as provides a mobile crisis response team that operates 24/7.
