Michael Tradewell

Dr. Michael Tradewell is a urologist known for blending patient centered care with advanced medical innovation. He has a master’s degree in biomedical engineering and graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his Urology Residency at the University of Miami.

Dr. Tradewell has contributed extensively to the field of urology, publishing research in leading journals, including the Journal of Urology and the World Journal of Men’s Health. He authored the textbook chapter “Artificial Intelligence in Urology,” and his research, cited over 750 times, has earned multiple honors, including the Urology Care Foundation Research Award.

He serves as chief of surgery and chair of urology at the new state-of-the-art Florida Coast Medical Center, where he leads with a focus on innovation and compassionate care. He provides urologic care for men and women, treating kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, recurrent urinary tract infections, and cancers of the prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicle.

Dr. Tradewell is an experienced robotic surgeon who offers surgical options for men with enlarged prostates, tailoring treatment to prostate size, anatomy, and patient preference. He also provides bladder Botox and tibial and sacral neuromodulation for patients with overactive bladder and urinary incontinence.

Dr. Tradewell and his wife recently acquired Urology Specialists of Stuart from Dr. Thomas Suits and Dr. Irene Machel, who served the community for over 40 years. They are dedicated to continuing this legacy of exceptional urologic care for the Treasure Coast Community.
