The Annual Indiantown Rodeo Is Back, And Tickets Are Now On Sale
Riding, roping and rodeos aren’t limited to cowboy movies or Texan events. In fact, they’re a huge part of Florida tradition in Indiantown, and the 68th annual Indiantown Rodeo is almost here.
Rodeos have been a part of Indiantown tradition since 1947, and the annual events have brought thousands of fans from across the nation to Martin County. This year, the tradition will be taking over Timer Powers Park on Oct. 16 and 17.
"Indiantown drew 18,000 fans from 41 states to the first rodeo, and I'm thrilled that the tradition continues today," said Hilary McKeich, executive director of the Indiantown Chamber of Commerce.
The rodeo will take place under a new roof structure of Timer Powers Park, which allows close up views of the action, and will feature several types of events, from bareback horse riding to team roping and bull riding.
"The roof structure has greatly increased equestrian use of the facility in the Indiantown community and will provide greater comfort and protection from the elements at the 2015 Indiantown Rodeo," McKeich said.
Tickets are available at all Seacoast Bank branches.
