Place of Hope expanded its services into the Treasure Coast in 2015, hoping to reach families who would consider fostering abused, neglected or abandoned child or siblings who needed safe haven. The success of its efforts were marked with the first Place of Hope Treasure Coast Sea of Hope Luncheon, led by its volunteer corps of Martin and Indian River County residents, known as Angel Moms. The fund- and friend-raising luncheon was held at Stuart Corinthian Yacht Club in Stuart. The luncheon featured a variety of pop-up shops on the “Sea of Hope Vendor Boardwalk,” a silent auction and lunch.
