The Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute Foundation held its annual dinner under the stars along the channel on its FAU campus in Fort Pierce. This year, Mark D. Perry, executive director of the Florida Oceanographic Society, was honored for his lifelong dedication to the health of the Indian River Lagoon. Proceeds go toward the development of a new, land-based seagrass nursery facility at the institute and the 4th annual Indian River Lagoon Symposium.
