With race season right around the corner, here’s a list of the can’t-miss races from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale.

Half Marathon, 5K

Enjoy beautiful views throughout this course that takes runners along the water on North and South Flagler Drive. Both races begin and end on Evernia Street in Downtown West Palm Beach. Runners receive an official race shirt, medal and goodie bag.

Start: 6:30 a.m./half marathon; 6:35 a.m./5K

Cost: $90/half marathon; $40/5K

Marathon, Half Marathon, 5k

This is considered one of the most scenic and famous courses in the state. Runners enjoy ocean breezes and palm trees as they sprint to the finish line. More than 4,000 people participated last year.

Start: 6 a.m./marathon/half marathon; 7:30 a.m./5K

Cost: $100/marathon; $90/half marathon; $35/5K

Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, 10K + 5K Challenge

The Best Damn Race at Lake Eola Park provides a big race feel at a local race price. Runners from elite to beginner status will enjoy a fun race experience that includes a shirt, finisher medal and goodie bag, plus free food, free beer and a free massage.

Start: 7:15 a.m./half marathon; 6:45 a.m./10K; 9 a.m./5K; 6:45 a.m./10K + 5K challenge

March 1: Marathon of the Treasure Coast

Marathon, Half Marathon

This course, which starts at Indian Riverside Park in Jensen Beach, showcases stunning views of the Treasure Coast, and ends with the BBQ & Blues Music Festival. Runners can also sign up to participate in a twoor four-person relay.

Start: 6 a.m. for all races

Cost: $99/marathon; $74/half marathon



March 7: Orlando Marathon

12 Hour Ultra, Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K

Enjoy the scenic Harbor Park on a course that loops around Lake Baldwin. Participants can run on the sidewalk or grass where they may encounter turtles, birds or even alligators. The race, which remains open for 12 hours, is sponsored by Help The Vets, Inc.

Start: 7:30 a.m./marathon/ultra; 7:45 a.m./half marathon; 8 a.m./5K

Cost: $95/marathon/ultra; $50/half marathon; $25/5K,
