Q: What’s your weekly fitness schedule?
A: I do lots of cardio and stretching. I probably work out an hour and a half, five to six days a week when I am not in a tournament week.
Q: What are your go-to resources for fitness?
A: I have a personal trainer and work out with him sometimes at the hockey facility, but when not there I go to LA Fitness or run outside.
Q: How has working with Florida Panthers strength and conditioning coach Craig Slaunwhite improved your game?
A: Craig has been amazing for my physical conditioning and game. He has allowed me to gain some length and my stamina is much better as I am in tremendous shape!
Q: What does your diet look like when prepping for a tournament?
A: I pretty much eat healthy all of the time, so not much change during a tournament week except I try and stay full on the course by eating snacks throughout the round to keep my energy up.
Q: What advice would you give to other golf enthusiasts, both aspiring pros and amateur weekend players?
A: Don’t get frustrated, and swing slow. Golf is relaxing and a sport you can play for a lifetime, unlike other really physically demanding sports.
