The St. Lucie Cultural Alliance will host the next concert in its Musical Series on April 7 at the 500 Orange Event Center. “Legends of Pop” is a musical journey from the 1970s to today, starring Apollo Vega and the Vega Tribe. The concert will celebrate pop legends who have shaped the last 50 years of popular music, like Madonna, Elton John, Prince, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, and Bruno Mars.
Special guest stars, including Kuzican, Muffy Charles, and Jake Sanders, will help Apollo Vega and the Vega Tribe cover five decades of pop music.
“This show is a musical celebration of all of the performers who inspire me, and their star power that really influenced not only the entirety of popular music and what we heard on the radio, but my personal style,” said Vega.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m., but doors open at 6:30 p.m. Guests will want to arrive early and take in the full experience of this historic renovated building. Transformed into an elegant, cabaret-style club, guests may choose between VIP preferred seating at 4-top tables or general admission seats at 8-top tables. Guests may also enjoy a full bar by Bonner Mobile Bar and small plates a la carte from True Roots Catering, and catering from St. Lucie County’s Sunshine Kitchen commercial kitchen & incubator, both available a la carte.
Upcoming shows in the series include The Great American Songbook with the Dreamers Swing Band featuring Maddie Williams May 12 and “This Will Be: The Music of Natalie Cole” featuring Muffy Charles June 9.
