The St. Lucie Cultural Alliance will continue its mission to transform the public spaces of St. Lucie County into beautiful galleries with works by the Cultural Alliance Art Guild’s artists with “Celebrating Us,” a juried exhibition at the St. Lucie County Administration Building on January 27, at 5:30 p.m.

Head up to the second floor in the St. Lucie County Planning and Development Services Department for the grand opening wine reception, featuring hor d’oeuvres sponsored by True Roots Catering, a member of St. Lucie County’s Sunshine Kitchen. In this state-of-the-art food incubator, chefs, caterers, and food truck operators can hone their culinary skills and build their businesses.

“When developers, planners, and builders stop by the county building, we want them to see this exhibition and recognize the ever-growing talent in the County and St. Lucie County’s investment in our prolific cultural community,” says County Commission Chairman Sean Mitchell. “What better way to welcome people to St. Lucie County than with a gift of locally-made artwork from one of the Cultural Alliance’s talented artists.”

Enjoy the work of 17 Alliance Art Guild Members, including Lisa Jill Allison, Danielle Biglin, Sally Browning Pearson, Jill Heveron, Barbara Lyons, Robin Marshall, Susan Miiller, Aurea Migenis, Lynn Morgan, Clark Ogier, Phyllis Petrillo, Tina Pfeiffer, Diana Rell Dean, Sharon Roselli, Mark Stall, and Debra Terrio. All art will be available for purchase.

“‘Celebrating Us’ is our way of thanking residents and St. Lucie County staff and commissioners, who recognize the importance of investing in the arts here in St. Lucie County,” said Cultural Alliance Community Engagement Manager Jake Sanders. “We see over and over again how cultural events bring tourists and money into our community, some even convincing those tourists to call St. Lucie County home permanently.”

Alliance Music Guild member Joette Giorges, a classical guitarist, will perform in the exhibition, accompanied by acoustic singer-songwriter Nico James. Alliance Art Guild members will sell their wares in a pop-up shop.

Guests in attendance can enter to win a signed print of Clyde Butcher’s “Florida’s Aquatic Preserves” photograph, with extra entries available to those who RSVP ahead of time here.
