The Jensen Beach Garden Club will host the third annual Jensen Beach Garden Expo, taking over the Dockside Pavilion at Indian Riverside Park on February 24. Admission is free and open to the public.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., local green thumbs will shop from vendors showcasing tropical plants, trees, native specimens, and exotic orchids, as well as herbs, succulents, outdoor art, and gardening supplies. The show includes educational presentations and demonstrations each hour on the half hour. Enjoy bites from food trucks and door prizes.
Net proceeds raised by the expo will support the community, including camp scholarships for children to attend the Florida Oceanographic Society and the Environmental Studies Center, the Junior Master Gardeners, and the community gardens at the House of Hope. This year, proceeds will also support an annual scholarship for deserving local high school students pursuing a degree in horticulture, landscape design, environmental sciences, or other related subjects.
