July Fun at Newfield Farm and KC Trails

From guided nature walks and Fourth of July festivities to trivia nights and art workshops, Newfield will host engaging experiences all month

Mattamy Homes invites the community to celebrate summer with a dynamic lineup of July events at Newfield in Palm City. From guided nature walks and fitness classes to trivia nights and art workshops Newfield offers engaging experiences all month long.

Farm Jam & Fireworks

Spend an evening with fellow community members and enjoy live, outdoor music amongst the beautiful backdrop of Newfield Farm on July 4. Enjoy yard games, food trucks, and fun for the whole family. Each car will be required to pay a $10 entrance free. This event is free for residents.

Farm Tour

On July 5, head to the monthly Newfield Farm tour to meet farmers and explore the 170-acre sustainable community farm. Learn about Newfield Farm’s efficient farming practices, The Barn, the CSA program, future community farm plots, and the educational farm series. The tour takes place from 9 to 11 a.m.

Full Moon Owl Prowl

Explore KC Trails as it comes alive the night of July 10, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. John Nelson, Florida Master Naturalist and president of Audubon of Martin County will give expert insight about the owls that inhabit the area, their habits, and how they navigate the dark skies. The ticket fee will be donated to the Audubon Society.

Coffee with the Farm Team

Enjoy a cup of coffee with the farm team on July 12, from 10 to 11 a.m.

Kids Farm Class

A fun and educational day awaits on July 18. This field trip is designed for kids to learn how vegetables grow—from seed to harvest. The day wraps up with a fresh meal made from farm produce.

The Market at Newfield Farm

Shop local every third Saturday of the month at The Market at Newfield Farm, featuring vendors, food trucks, live music, and fun for kids. We will also be hosting a “Touch a Tractor” event.

Tuesday Trivia

Test your knowledge at Trivia Night with questions on topics like pop culture, history, and farming on July 22. Entry is $5 for non-residents and free for residents.

Farm Education Series: Black Gold

Learn how to set up a simple and effective home compost system using worms. This hands-on class on July 26 with the Newfield Farm team will teach guests how to create vermicompost bin and how it can improve garden health and soil quality.
