From strolling KC Trails at sunset to shopping local at The Market and joining in on a workshop, the August calendar at Mattamy Home’s Newfield is packed with family-friendly fun.

Full Moon Owl Prowl

As the KC Trails come alive with the sights and sounds of dusk on August 9, explore winding paths, hear the stories behind the trails, and keep an eye out for local wildlife in their natural habitat. The evening will end with cozy camp-style snacks and great conversation back at the trailhead.

Coffee with the Farm Team

Grab a morning cup of coffee with Newfield farmers and get the inside scoop on all farm happenings August 9 from 10 to 11 a.m.

Back to School Barnyard Bash

On August 9, wrap up summer at the Back-to-School Barnyard Bash. Guests will enjoy free  snow cones and face painting, plus games and activities for the whole family. Step inside the “Game Barn,” a mobile gaming truck for nonstop video game action. Hot dogs and snacks will be available for purchase.

Kids Farm Craft

Kids can get creative with hands-on crafts on August 15. Surrounded by nature, little ones will enjoy making plant pots that they can take home. All materials are provided. The sessions are recommended for children ages 3 to 8 years old.

The Market at Newfield Farm

Shop local at The Market at Newfield Farm August 16. The event features local vendors, fresh food, live music, fun for the kids, and delicious food trucks.

Tuesday Trivia Night

Test your knowledge at Trivia Night August 19. Entry is $5 for non-residents and free for residents, and includes unlimited soda and a popcorn bar.

Farm Education Series: Home Garden Design & Planning

South Florida’s main growing season starts in late September, so now is the time to plan and design home gardens. From larger in-ground growing areas to raised beds to container gardening for smaller spaces, this class will cover the essentials of designing and planning a growing space that will support beautiful and healthy plants and create a successful home garden. Tickets are $5 per person.
