With so many South Floridians staying close to home under social distancing protocols, communities across Martin County are taking the initiative to bring the fun to their residents. Hutchinson Island’s Sailfish Point is no exception.

To give people a fun outdoor reprieve and a chance to see their neighbors (from a safe distance, of course), Sailfish Point called upon Slammin’ Sammie’s Cocktail Cart. An adult-friendly version of an ice cream truck, the cocktail cart roamed the streets, blasting music and serving up cold beer, wine, and other spirits to homebound homeowners.

To further support residents through these challenging times, Sailfish Point is maintaining a fully stocked community pantry with essentials like paper and cleaning products, bread, milk, deli goods, and more for purchase. For those who cannot go to the grocery store, this service is crucial. Club staff members package the goods for pickup or delivery directly to residents’ front doors.
