This summer, Bank of America selected South Fork High School senior Charles Woodward as this year’s Student Leaders participant, an eight-week paid summer internship connecting students to employment, skills development, and service. During the internship, Woodward will gain practical work and leadership experience while working with House of Hope, as well as receive financial education coaching through Bank of America’s Better Money Habits curriculum.

Woodward is a rising senior at South Fork High School in Stuart. He served as president of his grade’s student government and vice president of the National Honor Society. He has led beach clean ups in his community that removed over 100 pounds of debris. In the future, Woodward hopes to advocate for stricter pollution controls and community engagement in conservation.
In late July, Woodward and this summer’s class of Student Leaders traveled to Washington, D.C. for a week-long national leadership summit to learn how nonprofits, governments, and businesses collaborate to meet local needs.
