Beat the summer heat and enjoy a day touring the exhibitions on view at the Elliott Museum in Stuart.

Start the visit with a peruse of “Surfing Florida: A Photographic History by Paul Aho and Rod Faulds,” on view to August 16. Presented in collaboration with the Surfing Florida Museum, the exhibit documents Florida’s rich surfing history through more than 100 images by famed surf photographers and historic surfboards.

On July 11, the Jensen Beach Art League unveiled “Coastal Vibes,” a collection of artwork by local artists that captures the essence of the Treasure Coast’s beach towns.

Also on view is “The Captain’s Corner: Derek Jeter’s Journey from Kalamazoo to the Elliott,” on exhibit in the museum’s Baseball Gallery to December 31. The exhibition features the collection of Patrick Armstrong and Brian Armstrong, who began collecting Derek Jeter memorabilia in the 1990s.

Stay tuned for the debut of “Tessellations,” a showcase by Tom Prestopnik opening August 1, and “Water/Ways” debuting August 31.
