Senior stylist Destiny De La Paz of McAllister Spa offers the scoop on Olaplex, a formula she’s been using since June that’s revolutionizing the hair coloring industry.
Q: Why Olaplex?
A: Where the coloring process previously broke down bonds in the hair, the Olaplex treatment is now able to swoop in, acting as a bond multiplier to rebuild those bonds, preventing damage and even leaving hair stronger and healthier than it would be otherwise. Stylists are now able to take clients lighter than they ever could have dreamed of with extremely minimal damage.
Q: What’s your favorite look you’ve created with the formula?
A: One of my favorite services to do with Olaplex is a damage-free, double-process blonde with a pastel overlay.
