Stick To Your New Year’s Resolution With ‘Better Than Before: What I Learned About Making And Breaking Habits’

If I encounter one more table laden with cookies, mini-meatballs, pasta, potatoes or any dish containing cream of mushroom soup, my blue jeans and I will be at the point of divorce. So, like many of us, I will start January with “clothing counseling,” also known as “the gym.”
What to Read this Month:
Thankfully, one of my favorite authors, Gretchen Rubin (you may have read her previous best-seller "The Happiness Project"), is releasing a new book that is perfect for those looking to stick with their New Year's resolutions. "Better Than Before: What I Learned About Making and Breaking Habits" was released on Dec. 15, so pick it up and avoid that “break-up” encounter with your favorite clothes.
On Jan. 28, The Library Foundation of Martin County is partnering with The Lyric Theatre to welcome Jessica Fellowes, niece of “Downtown Abbey” creator Julian Fellowes, and author of Downton Abbey: A Celebration. Jessica will be sharing insight and behind-the-scenes stories from “Downton Abbey” and signing copies of her new book. Contact The Lyric Theatre for tickets. Books will be on sale at the event.
I sincerely hope you enjoy Gretchen Rubin's book and meet me at The Lyric Theatre on Jan. 28 for an amazing “Downton Abbey” event. Hopefully, my wardrobe and I are still on good terms.
