At Stuart’s Tres Belle Salon, Stylists Are Given The Chance To Be Their Own Boss
Based in: Stuart
How it started: Tres Belle Salon opened in November when proprietor Anne Stimmell decided to turn a vacant salon space into something she and her stylist had talked about: a “salon suite.” “When a beauty salon space became available in our family-owned rental properties on East Ocean Boulevard, I couldn’t resist the urge to create my own,” she says. The salon is named after her grandmother, Radie Belle Krueger, who also originally owned the building. Tres Belle is different from a traditional salon setting in that stylists can rent their own individual stations and enjoy amenities like in-house laundry machines, storage space and security.
Tres Belle Salon in a few words: “A chance to be your own boss and sell your own product in a secure, relaxing and tastefully decorated salon,” Stimmell says.
What sets it apart: Tres Belle Salon gives stylists the tools and space they need to open their own business without having to start from scratch. Attention to detail was exercised in designing this salon as it is equipped with special lighting, ionic dryers and comfortable, adjustable sinks and lounge chairs. “You could honestly take a nap in them,” Stimmell says. “Believe me, I have tried them out.” The six furnished stations in the open-concept salon make the experience relaxing for both the client and the stylist. While taking the leap to operating your own business may seem intimidating, Stimmell assures, “[the stylists] have my personal support for licensing and the moving process.”
