3 LOCAL SHOPS DOING MENSWEAR RIGHT

J. McLAUGHLIN

3738 SE Ocean Blvd., Stuart

“This season, we traveled to California to shoot our campaign and capture the spirit of J.McLaughlin, rooted in the spirit of sport, work and play. For the guys, printed shorts, bathing suits with clever motifs and trendy sweatpants round out the collection. Each piece has an element of surprise, whether it be a grosgrain lining to spice up a tailored shirt or an unexpected thread to tie on a button. The look is still tailored, but during the warmer months, we have a little more fun with our looks for men.” Kevin McLaughlin, co-founder and creative director

FUNKY MONKEY

12 SW Osceola St., Ste A, Stuart

“The FM man is someone [whose] age has no barriers, a man who has a fashion forward mind but can also respect detail and creativity in a garment. He likes to stand out and be noticed, but not be overstated in his presentation. He has a respect and admiration for quality with pricing to match – whether it be a leisure garment or accessory, or something a bit more elegant for the evening.” Mark Vanderheof, store owner
