18 Old Photos Of Stuart That Take Us Back

First settled in 1870 for its abundant water sources, Stuart used to be nothing more than a pineapple farm, a railway stop and a general store. Today, Stuart is home to more than 17,000 yearly residents, and it’s the certified “sailfish capital of the world.” Sport fishermen and tourists alike flock to this hub for its multitude of game fishing opportunities and its temperate climate.

There’s no doubt that Stuart has seen some changes throughout the years, but let’s take a look back at the way things once were.
