BurgerFi Opening First Location in Port St. Lucie
Popular burger chain BurgerFi is bringing its all-natural hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries and new facial recognition kiosks to the Treasure Coast community on Monday, Dec. 3.
Doug Miller and his family of five had the idea to open a BurgerFi after visiting one in Delray Beach several years ago. They did not have one in their area, but they loved BurgerFi’s all-natural, family-friendly concept.
“We are excited to bring a brand-new concept to St. Lucie County and serve up our innovative, all-natural burgers, fries and shakes in a fun, family dining experience,” Miller said in a press release.
The new location will not only serve their variety of gourmet burgers, french fries and house-made sauces, but it will also bring one of the brand’s newest menu items – the Steakhouse Bleu Burger. This burger features two Angus patties topped with bleu cheese, cracked pepper bacon, topped with a cabernet onion marmalade and steak sauce on a potato-branded bun. For every burger sold, a dollar will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Not only will the restaurant offer its new burger, but it is offering guests a high-tech twist to how they order with self-serving facial recognition kiosks.
“Our latest technology innovations, such as our self-serving facial recognition kiosks, will remember each guest’s order, making it easier for our guests to order their BurgerFi favorites,” Miller said.
The news release said the restaurant will also feature several eco-friendly elements, such as picnic and four-top tables made out of more than 700,000 upcycled milk jugs, select red industrial-style chairs made out of 111 upcycled Coca-Cola bottles, 100 percent energy-efficient LED lighting and a 10-foot fan that consumes 88 percent less energy than a normal one.
The 2,600-square-foot St. Lucie West facility will sit 82 customers inside their dining room and patio seating for 24. It will serve lunch and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. It will be located at 473 NW St. Lucie W. Blvd in St. Lucie West.
