Celebrate The Children’s Museum Of The Treasure Coast’s Birthday By Stranding Yourself On An Island

Get “shipwrecked at the museum” to celebrate The Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast's 10th birthday.

Throughout July, museum director of education Katie Makemson and executive director Tammy Calabria have been recruiting “castaways” who will be stranded on an island at the museum’s birthday event on Aug. 18.

The castaways will need to fill their treasure chests with donations to buy their way off the island to join the party. So far, 24 castaways have volunteered to be ambassadors for the event. All funds raised are going back to the museum and its programs. If you are interested in being a castaway, please contact Tammy Calabria at tammycalabria@att.net.

Tickets include two drinks and food provided by Elegant Events Catering. Castaway, pirate and mermaid attire is encouraged, and RSVP’s are required by Aug. 11. The adults-only event will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the museum. Tickets are $30 per person.

Live music and entertainment will be a highlight of the event and there will also be challenging games set up around the venue for guests to participate in.
