Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club's New $8.9 Million Lakeside Fitness Center Breaks Ground
A brand new fitness center and spa facility is coming to Palm City's Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club this year.
Called Lakeside, the new center will feature state-of-the-art fitness classes, updated tennis courts including a stadium court, a new swimming pool, and a salon and spa.
Harbour Ridge broke ground on the Lakeside facility Tuesday. With a completion date set for December 2016, the new center is projected to cost $8.9 million.
The new facility will replace the existing fitness and tennis center. In the meantime, temporary facilities are located in the clubhouse locker rooms.
Once complete, the Palm City country club's members will be able to enjoy group and private Pilates classes, physical therapy, lap and water aerobics, and more.
Massage rooms, a sauna and steam room will all be part of the spa. Plus, a food and beverage component will be offered at Lakeside.
Harbour Ridge hopes to attract new and younger members through its expanded amenity offerings, according to project manager Cesar Trujillo. And its design will take into account transforming fitness trends.
"The design complements the casually elegant characteristic of the Harbour Ridge campus," said Brian Idle, president of Peacock + Lewis Architects, the firm responsible for the architectural and interior design plans.
