Martin County Residents Who Register To Vote Can Enjoy A Free Chick-fil-A Sandwich
Register to vote, and get a coupon for a free chicken sandwich.
That’s the promotion the Martin County Supervisor of Elections is holding in conjunction with Chick-fil-A for National Voter Registration Day.
On Tuesday, Sept. 22, residents are encouraged to visit one of two locations to register to vote—or simply make changes to information on their voter ID cards that may be out of date.
“Anything that’s going to help the voter for the upcoming election in 2016,” Supervisor of Elections Vicki Davis said.
In exchange, voters will receive a coupon for a free grilled or fried chicken sandwich to redeem at the Chick-fil-A off U.S. 1 in Stuart or at the Treasure Coast Square mall. (The coupon expires June 30, 2016, but Davis said the restaurant ensured her it will honor the offer if voters come in after the set date.)
Residents can head to either of the following locations:
Indian River State College (Chastain Campus Building A), where a voter drive will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
2400 SE Salerno Road, Stuart
Martin County Elections Center, until closing time at 5 p.m.
135 SE Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Stuart
Those who don’t have time to make it out can still register to vote online—and yes, they’ll still be eligible for the free sandwich. Davis said voters can simply print out confirmation and bring it into the Martin County Elections Center to claim their coupon.
According to the Martin Votes website, there are currently 103,909 registered voters in Martin County.
