Smallcakes Cupcakery Is Coming To Stuart To Fill All Your Sweet Needs
Life in Stuart is about to get sweeter.
Rhett Yingling, co-owner of Smallcakes Cupcakery in Port St. Lucie, is opening his second franchise location in Stuart, where his family is originally from.
The store is expected to open the first week of October.
Smallcakes of Port St. Lucie offers cupcakes with unconventional ingredients, such as candied bacon and Fruity Pebbles cereal. The store also sells mini cupcakes for pets, Yingling said.
There will be new flavors of both regular and gluten-free cupcakes at the Stuart location, Yingling said. The new store—which he’s opening with his wife, Marcela—will also sell ice cream.
“It’s very unique; there are not many Smallcakes that offer that,” Yingling said of the cupcake franchise that has stores in 17 states and the United Arab Emirates.
Yingling opened Smallcakes of Port St. Lucie with his brother, Glenn, after serving overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan for 10 years.
“I was looking for a business model to get into that made people happy,” he said.
Just as he does in his Port St. Lucie location, Yingling's Stuart store will give veterans and service members discounts on purchases and will donate leftover cupcakes to charity.
Based on the responses to his Facebook announcement of his expansion to Stuart, he said he thinks the people of Stuart are excited about the news.
We believe it.
