Stuart Beer Fest Is Taking Over Martin County Fairgrounds For The First Weekend Of Fall
Fall has become synonymous with cooler weather, pumpkin spice lattes and beer festivals. It may be a while before we get a break from the heat, but Stuart is starting the season with a brew fest of its own—and it's all for a good cause.
Advocates for the Rights of the Challenged (ARC) of Martin County, Southern Eagle, and JJ Taylor Distributing have partnered to raise awareness and promote craft breweries through Stuart's Beer Fest.
The second annual festival is set to take place Saturday, Sept. 24, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Martin County Fairgrounds.
“Beer Fest became in existence because the ARC was looking for a fundraiser and Southern Eagle brought [up] doing a beer fest,” Tracy Howse, community development director for ARC of Martin County, said. “It’s exposure for the beer companies and exposure for the ARC of Martin County.”
The event is expected to draw a crowd of more than 400 patrons to sample beers from over 20 breweries. Local-area favorites, including Sailfish Brewing Company, Side Door Brewing Company, and Miami Brewing Company, will serve their best beers side-by-side industry giants such as Sam Adams and Woodchuck Hard Cider.
The event will also feature a 50/50 raffle, DJ and food vendors. After-parties at Sneaki Tiki and Twisted Tuna are set to take place, as well.
“The Stuart Beer Fest is a fun time with a community of beer tasters that come together and really enjoy the camaraderie to discuss the different beers and how they have been made,” Howse said.
Advance tickets are priced at $25 per person and can be purchased at arcmc.org/events. Tickets are $30 at the door.
