Stuart Recognized Among Most Beautiful, Charming Small Towns In Florida (Again)
It seems like everyone’s talking about Stuart lately—not that we blame them.
Stuart was just included in OnlyInYourState.com’s list of the eight most beautiful and charming small towns in Florida. The website, which compiles fun lists about each state, highlighted Stuart’s historic downtown, museums, and (obviously) great fishing as reasons to get to know the city.
Other towns on the list include Dunedin, Mount Dora and Cedar Key.
To come up with the picks, writer Victoria Winkler said she used readers’ suggestions as guidance and then began researching what each town had to offer.
“[I] tried to find the ones I felt really had something unique, so that readers would not be disappointed if they chose to visit every place on my list,” she said, adding that Stuart’s “wow factor” lies in its reputation as the sailfish capital of the world.
Of course, OnlyInYourState.com wouldn’t be the first to recognize the town’s appeal. In April, Smithsonianmag.com ranked Stuart as No. 3 in a top 20 list of the best small towns to visit in 2015, citing the St. Lucie Inlet, the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center and the Lyric Theatre among the area’s top attractions. And just last month, House Beautiful named Stuart among the 50 most beautiful small towns in America.
Needless to say, we’re pretty fond of it, too.
