Taste Of Jensen, A Holiday Tradition, Will Bring Food Sampling To Downtown Jensen's Festive Streets

Time to taste all that Downtown Jensen Beach has to offer in a festive holiday atmosphere complete with twinkling lights and live music.

The 19th annual Taste of Jensen returns Tuesday, Dec. 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A holiday tradition for almost two decades, the event will feature food and drink samples from more than 20 local restaurants, with booths set up along the sidewalks of downtown Jensen. Tickets are $30.

"It's an enchanting evening of music and food, spread out around downtown Jensen, which I love. And it's outdoors, under the night sky, trees and Christmas lights," event organizer Julie Bertrand said. "It's a really wonderful time, which is why we sell out every year."

Mulligan's Beach House, 11 Maple Street Restaurant, Magic Oyster Bar & Grill, and the new Bunkhouse Coffee Bar will be among this year's participating eateries, and there will also be a Christmas marketplace with vendors selling holiday items.

"The food is looking really good this year, too, with 21 taste stations offering Haddock Milanese to chocolate flourless torte and peanut butter pie, craft beers, fish sliders, and pork roulade, just to name a few," Bertrand added.

All of the restaurants will be up for awards such as Best Presentation, Best Featured Entree, Best Appetizer/Soup, Best Dessert and Best Beverage, which will be determined by a panel of local judges.

There will also be the coveted People's Choice award, for which guests will receive a "Menu Ticket" with a map of all the participating restaurants that also acts as their ballot. They can pick it up at the Chamber of Commerce and are encouraged to return the ballot to the Chamber at the end of the night.

Tickets can be purchased online, as well as from Seacoast Bank Jensen Beach, Jan's Place Restaurant, and the Jensen Beach Chamber of Commerce Visitor and Business Referral Center.
