Wear Pink To The Annual Making Strides Walk
Making Strides of Martin County will host the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in partnership with Seacoast Bank on Oct. 27 at Memorial Park. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m., following an opening ceremony honoring survivors, caregivers and those passionate about saving lives from breast cancer.
The event is a celebration of the strength and resilience of survivors as well as a fundraiser benefiting the American Cancer Society. Since 1993, Making Strides events have raised more than $810 million by 13 million walkers across the United States.
There is a special area at the walk for survivors, with information and services available. All paths of life are invited to come together to walk in unity and support the American Cancer Society’s mission to eradicate cancer and support survivors of breast cancer.
