Treasure Coast’s Sailfish Brewing Company Is Now Canning Its Beer

The Treasure Coast’s first brewery, Sailfish Brewing Company, has recently started canning its most popular beer, the Belgian wheat White Marlin Wit.

Sailfish Brewing Company has not yet decided how it will distribute the canned bear, and is debetating whether to sell the beer in local grocery stores or to keep the cans at its taproom.

In February the brewery moved from its original location in Edgartown to the former 25,000-sqaure-foot J.C. Penny building in downtown Fort Pierce.

The move allowed for an increase in beer production, and also opened the way for the canning process to begin. The brewery went from a three-barrel system to a 20-barrel system in its new location, allowing the company to produce more beer on a regular basis.

Aug. 28 Update: Sailfish Brewing Company's canned beer will be available at bars and restaurants like Square Grouper Tiki Bar in mid-September. It is currently availalbe, and will remain available, for sale in the brewery's tap room.
