Treasure Coast Newlyweds Louise Jones, Willie Walker Wanted An Indoor Wedding—Until They Saw The Mansion At Tuckahoe
WHAT THEY DO: Louise, 28, is a front office assistant for Dr. Kenneth Fuquay in Jupiter, and Willie, 26, is a patient care technician for AeroCare in Port St. Lucie.
HOW THEY MET: Louise and Willie met on the Fourth of July in 2009, and sparks flew in more ways than one. It was an instant connection, and Louise had a hard-to-get, shy personality that couldn’t keep Willie away. After his many attempts to take Louise out, she finally agreed and the two became inseparable. The couple planned a “Day of Elegance” themed wedding for exactly six years after the two became an official couple on July 18.
ON THE PROPOSAL: Willie took Louise out to her favorite restaurant, Brio Tuscan Grille, on her birthday, for which both of their immediate families were present. In addition to a beautiful dinner on her special day, Louise also ended up with a ring. “Marry You” by Bruno Mars played over the speakers after she said, “Yes.” “I couldn’t believe it. Words can’t describe the joy I felt that night,” she says. “That night, I told him we have to set a date, and that’s when he replied, ‘I already told your mom I want to get married on July 18 because that’s the day we made it official many years ago.’ I couldn’t believe he still remembered. It was the best night of my life and the best birthday.”
ABOUT THE VENUE: After initially wanting an indoor wedding, the couple fell in love with the The Mansion at Tuckahoe in Jensen Beach and canceled all of their upcoming appointments with other wedding venues.
NOTEWORTHY DETAILS: The couple chose navy blue, gold and cream because navy blue is their shared favorite color, and Louise always wanted a gold wedding. Then, they accented with white and cream flowers.
