A Wedding At The Mansion At Tuckahoe In Jensen Beach

WHAT THEY DO: Ryan, 25, works at Sparton as an electrical engineer, and Morgan, 25, works for Volusia County School as a kindergarten teacher.

HOW THEY MET: Ryan met Morgan through her neighbor, Tony, who happened to be one of Ryan’s best friends. They had been acquaintances since elementary school but didn’t get to know each other until high school when Tony had a get together at his house. “After that evening, I was talking with my neighbor about setting Ryan up with one of my friends when instead he asked me out,” Morgan says. “I am very happy I said ‘yes.’”

HOW THEY KNEW THEY FOUND THE ONE: “I knew as we grew older and began making adult decisions that he was the one I wanted to make them with or sacrifice for,” Morgan says. “I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to experience many stages of my life with Ryan. We have grown and lived a good amount of our lives with each other, and I believe that lets me know that I have found the one.”

ON THE PROPOSAL: Ryan decided to pop the question on the couple’s seven-year dating anniversary. He planned a staycation to Orlando’s Grand Bohemian Hotel. While at dinner, two of the couple’s closest friends decorated their hotel room. When they arrived back to the room, a sweet surprise was waiting. “Each balloon had a memory from us dating tied to the end with a picture,” Morgan says. “I was completely stunned and surprised,” she says. “It was so sweet and thoughtful, which I love.”

ON CHOOSING THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION SITE: The couple began searching for venues in Orlando, but they didn’t fall in love with any of the options. Morgan suggested they visit The Mansion at Tuckahoe in Jensen Beach. She had always thought it to be a beautiful venue but hadn’t considered it for the wedding. “I loved that our wedding could be outside near the water,” she says.

ON THE THEME: The goal for the special day was to create a romantic feel using soft colors of white, gold and light pink with matching flowing fabrics. “For the actual reception I did not want too much color,” Morgan says. “For the ceremony I wanted the focal point to be our archway, which was full of the most perfect white and blush flowers.”

ON THE FIRST DANCE: “I let Ryan be in charge of choosing our first dance song because I felt like I had chosen so many aspects of our wedding day, and I wanted him to get opportunities to make a decision,” Morgan says. He chose Brett Young’s “In Case You Didn’t Know.”

ON THE CAKE: The couple cut into a small two-tier cake, but for the guests, they opted for various flavored cupcakes like pink Champagne, lavender lemon, red velvet and raspberry.

BRIDE’S ADVICE: “I would advise getting a special perfume for the big day because whenever you wear it you will think back to your wedding day, which is really sweet,” Morgan says. She chose to wear Miss Dior.
