Publisher's Letter: Eat, drink and be merry
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! My Sirius Radio has back-to-back holiday music pumping, and the holiday shopping has started. Even though it’s now December, our holiday season really started at the end of September when two wonderful homes were decorated for the holidays and filled with the warmth of family and the smell of amazing food for our photo shoot features in this issue.
Our first stop was at PGA inside the home of Phyllis and Jim Brandano. They welcomed us into their home, and we were instantly transported to a traditional Italian family Christmas Eve dinner with the most amazing seafood, fresh from New England Seafood in Jensen. What a day it was celebrating the feast of the seven fishes—three months early!
Then it was back to Stuart to the home of Hope Jochem. Her home was decorated for the holidays by the Patty Downing Interiors team of designers. The home was elegantly accented with silvers and green, and the food was not just pretty to look at—it was just as appealing to the taste buds. Be sure to check out DeLITEful Kitchen in Cedar Point Plaza for your holiday brunch.
Our issue wouldn’t be complete without our annual “Giftology Gift Guide.” Our own Kayla Walsh works hard to track down thoughtful ideas for you to consider for your loved ones. Remember to check out all of our local boutiques when shopping this holiday season! And for events, check out our holiday themed “Things we Love.” It offers some great ideas on where to take the family out for the holidays.
My biggest goal this season is to seek, engage with and support those in need now and throughout the year. There are so many worthwhile organizations to help out, like the Treasure Coast Food Bank, Hibiscus Children’s Home and many others. We encourage you to join us in a community-giving season. If you have a chance and see a child’s name on a tree or are able to drop off food, there are so many ways to give back. If you need help locating a place to devote your time, efforts and resources, let us know. We’d be happy to help connect you with a place that serves your heart.
From the team at Stuart Magazine, we are wishing you and your families a wonderful holiday season!
