Yum, Jupiter Donut Factory Is Opening In Stuart In November

Stuart, it won't be long before you can take a bite of a chocolate cake donut topped with M&M's or Snickers right here at home.

The popular Jupiter Donut Factory will be expanding to Stuart, with a store located at 2004 SE Federal Highway opening this November. The chain will be taking over the Oceana Coffee shop, whose coffee will still be sold at the store, as it is at all of Jupiter Donut's other locations.

"A lot of our customers are from Port St. Lucie or Stuart, so that'll save them a little time on their travel," owner Chrystal Jones said.

In case you weren't aware, the store makes its donuts fresh on-site daily. Bakers actually come into the store in the middle of the night to begin their work.

The first donuts into the fryer go in around 1 a.m. or 2 a.m. Then the decorators come in at 3:30 a.m.

"It's so hard to find anything that's freshly made anymore," Jones said.

Finally, the store begins selling donuts for the day at 6 a.m. It closes at 1 p.m. (or earlier if it sells out before then).

Jupiter Donut Factory, which already has stores in Jupiter and Royal Palm Beach, is also opening a North Palm Beach location in mid-November. The Stuart store is expected to open sometime after that.

These four stores are only the start, according to Jones, who said the chain is planning on continuing to expand to keep up with demand. However, the plan is to keep it family- and community-oriented.

"We don't want to lose that sense of community," she said.

Jupiter Donut Factory is now hiring for its two new locations. Interested applicants—night owls especially—can email their resumes to jupiterdonut@gmail.com.
