Mark Garwood Foundation to Host 10th Annual SHOOT FOR THE MOON
STUART, Fla. (August 1, 2026) – Mark Garwood Foundation is excited to announce the
10th Annual Shoot For The Moon Sporting Clays Charity Event, presented by Audi, Infiniti, Maserati and Alfa Romeo of Stuart, will be on Friday, November 6, 2026 at the South Florida Shooting Club in Palm City, Florida.
Proceeds from Shoot For The Moon will benefit the Mark Garwood Phoenix Scholarship program.
This day of fun and friendly competition will begin at 7:30 with registration, a continental
breakfast, and a raffle with dozens of tempting packages from your favorite merchants.
Following a welcome from the Garwood family (and maybe a surprise guest or two!) and a short safety briefing, teams of more than 180 shooters will make their way to the competition courses.
After a morning filled with camaraderie and exciting shooting, a delicious lunch, cooked to
perfection by the Martin County Sheriff’s BBQ Grill Team, will be served to more than 250
participants and guests.
Awards and a live auction will follow the presentation of our 2027 Mark Garwood Phoenix Scholarship awards.
Sponsorships are available beginning at $2000. Teams of four are $1250 and include
ammunition, clays, trappers, scorers, golf carts, and meals. Individuals are responsible for
providing their own shotguns.

About the Mark Garwood Foundation
The Mark Garwood Foundation was founded in 2014 by Stuart residents Erica and John
Garwood after they lost their son, Mark, to complications of substance use disorder and type I
diabetes.
Since 2015, the Mark Garwood Foundation has provided over $725,000 in Phoenix
Scholarships to 86 adults in St. Lucie, Martin, Okeechobee, Palm Beach or Broward County who are in recovery, committed to long-term sobriety and ready to begin or continue their
education.
Over 90% of Phoenix Scholarship recipients remain sober while part of the program.
The Phoenix Scholarship program boasts 37 alumni who have earned 55 degrees, including
doctoral degrees in nursing and medicine, confirming our belief that
RECOVERY + EDCUATION =SUCCESS!
