The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast (HSTC) would like to recognize the faces of its entire Thrift Store team. Since their inception, the humane society’s thrift stores have provided a substantial portion of revenue and support for the shelter’s lifesaving and life-enhancing programs and services. The faces are Keith Ransford, Kelly Ellis, Breanna Zopff, Isabelle Hartley, Eva Mestecky, Shanna Lord, Daryl Aderholdt and David DesRuisseaux. These are the selfless individuals who work daily with shoppers, donors, adopters, and volunteers on behalf of the HSTC, Martin County’s only open-admission, no-kill, animal-welfare organization.
The two thrift stores are in Stuart at 1099 NW 21st St. and 3302 SE Federal Hwy. What makes these thrift stores truly remarkable is their mission to raise funds that directly support the homeless animals. In addition, both stores have adoptable cats on site. That special item a customer is shopping for may just be their new best friend.
Through the generosity of donors and the thrift store team’s hard work, homeless pets in the area are getting the care and support they desperately need. Without their dedication, HSTC couldn’t provide the vital services the shelter offers for people and pets in the community.
