This March, Mattamy Homes’ Newfield Farm will set the scene for a packed lineup of community events in nature.

Birdwatch and Nature Hike

Enjoy birdwatching and nature hike led by John Nelson, Florida Master Naturalist and President of Audubon of Martin County, on March 6, from 8 to 9:30 a.m.. This hike will immerse guests in the sights and sounds of nature, from the melodies of chirping birds to the tranquility of peaceful waters.

Friday Night Farm Jam

Unwind and kick off the weekend at the Friday Night Farm Jam March 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. The evening features live music from local bands and bites from food trucks. Guests can bring their own coolers to keep drinks on hand and spread out a blanket on the lawn.

Full Moon Owl Prowl at KC Trails

During the full moon on March 14, Nelson will offer expert insight about the owls that inhabit the area, their habits, and how they navigate the dark. Listen for the calls of these mysterious creatures and enjoy a peaceful, immersive journey through Florida’s nocturnal wildlife.

Sunrise Yoga

Find your flow at Sunset Yoga on the lawn on March 15. This peaceful outdoor practice is suitable for participants of all levels. Don’t forget your mat and water. Registration is $10.

Meet The Newfield Bees Class

On March 22, get acquainted with the bees and explore the hives up close with Newfield’s beekeeper. This hands-on class introduces guests to the educational apiary and the fascinating world of bees. Participants will get a firsthand look at hive activity while wearing a provided protective veil. Long pants, long sleeves, and closed-toe shoes are required.

Kokedama Art Workshop

Kokedama, often referred to as “string gardens,” is a Japanese gardening technique that involves creating lush, moss-covered plant balls. During this workshop on March 26, guests will craft their own Kokedama from start to finish. Registration is $20.
