Treasure Coast

Winner: Maverick
This 6-year-old Australian shepherd’s owner, Courtney Hollander, says that when her pup isn’t racing full speed at the dog park or showing off his splash skills at his home pool in Port St. Lucie, you’ll find him living his best beach life. Hollander notes that Maverick as also a devoted fan of the Star Wars film franchise. She calls him “the goodest boy in the galaxy.”

Winner: Riley
This 2-year-old Australian Labradoodle is more than just a pretty (and friendly) face: she recently passed the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen class. Owner Susan Parker of Jupiter says she’s even planning to enroll Riley in classes to become a therapy dog due to her sweet personality and her love for cuddles. “Riley has her own unique personality, and I’m sure she thinks she’s my human child,” Parker says. “On walks, people often pull over to ask about her. Everyone who meets her falls in love instantly. I know I’m biased, but I’m so blessed to have this 24-pound fur baby as family.”
