This month, the community is invited to connect with nature during a packed lineup of events at Mattamy Homes’ Newfield Farm.
The farm will set the scene for Coffee with a Farmer, The Market at Newfield Farm, and Simply Rooted: A Farm Education Series, and more.
Coffee with a Farmer
On February 8, start the day with a cup of coffee and a conversation with a farmer. This laid-back gathering offers the opportunity to ask questions, learn about farm life, and hear stories from the fields.
Newfield Trailblazers
The Newfield Trailblazers is a friendly, outdoor-focused group dedicated to exploring the stunning trails of Kiplinger Conservancy and the surrounding areas. Hikers of all levels are invited for the next three-mile hike on February 11, 18, and 25.
Volunteer at Newfield Farm
Join a dedicated team of volunteers and contribute to farm operations while learning hands-on skills in sustainability and agriculture February 12, 19, and 26.
The Market at Newfield Farm
Shop fresh produce, artisanal goods, and more while supporting local vendors at this lively market February 15.
Simply Rooted: A Farm Education Series
Discover how to transform kitchen scraps and yard waste into compost that nourishes gardens and boosts soil health during “Composting Basics: Turn Scraps into Gold” February 22. This hands-on class will equip guests with practical skills to implement sustainable waste management practices at home. Advance registration is required. The session kicks off at 10 a.m. and is open to 15-20 participants.
In addition to these events, the farm unveiled monthly Farm Tours which return in March. Guests are invited to step onto the soil and discover the stories behind the crops grown and harvested at Newfield Farm.
