The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast will present Christmas in July to benefit its shelter animals July 1-31.
Supporters can make tax-deductible donations by pulling gift tag from the humane society’s Giving Tree, located inside the Palm City shelter. Each tag represents a specific need at the shelter and the corresponding donation amount. Donations also are accepted in person at either thrift store in Stuart (1099 Northwest 21st Street and 3302 Southeast Federal Highway).

Supporters can also donate online to the shelter’s Virtual Giving Tree; donate a wrapped present from the humane society’s wish list to be placed under the shelter’s Christmas in July tree; purchase items from the shelter’s Amazon wish list; or call a Christmas Elf at 772-600-3216 to donate over the phone.
In addition, Bissell Pet Foundation will sponsor reduced adoption fees throughout July. The month’s adoption fees are $50 for dogs (1 year or older) and $25 for cats (1 year or older). This special excludes kittens, puppies, and small animals.
Shoppers will have the opportunity to purchase Christmas items from the humane society’s thrift stores July 5-31.
